As part of London Museum’s sector leadership role, our team of Museum Development Officers (MDOs) works on behalf of London’s other non-national museums to provide development opportunities and to support good practice within the sector.  We have a vacancy in the Museum Development London team.

This role is for a confident museum professional with experience of working in a museum service at officer or manager level who is a great advocate of museums, and who enjoys supporting museums to improve to be the best they can be.

You will provide a general advice service for the many and varied museums in Central and East London, supporting them to identify their change and development needs.  Working closely with our funders Arts Council England (ACE), you will provide a business support service for museums and provide advice to enable organisations to achieve and maintain Museum Accreditation.

You will also have an important role in communicating and advocating to key stakeholders locally and regionally the contribution that museums make.  There will also be opportunities to get involved with the many pan-London development projects which the team delivers for the sector.
