London Museum Docklands is looking for people who love interacting with children and families from a range of different backgrounds and communities to join our Casual Worker Learning Facilitator pool. We are especially looking for candidates who are interested in working with, and/or developing skills in working with, families with children under the age of five years old. You will have a willingness to learn and develop a play-centred approach encouraging families to have fun and learn together at the museum. Plus, you will be an energetic, enthusiastic and thoughtful communicator who can inspire those around you.
As a Casual Worker Learning Facilitator for London Museum Docklands, you’ll be supporting the work of the Learning team by assisting with small and large scale activities and events. These are aimed at a variety of audiences including school children, families, families with children under the age of five years old and children with special educational needs and disabilities.
We are looking for people with some experience of supporting activities and events. Experience of working in museums is not required and you will receive relevant paid training for any activities that you are asked to support. The role will suit someone who is looking for a flexible opportunity with an expectation of 1 to 2 shifts per month of a minimum of 4 hours each. Shifts will be offered all year round on an ad hoc basis, please read the “Further Information” document where you will find the “work package schedule” detailing the peak times for programming. Shifts can take place at London Museum Docklands or in schools and community venues across London within the M25.
